For the last decade, increasing trade traffic through the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma has helped drive economic growth in the Pacific Northwest. As one of North America's primary gateways for trade with Asia, Seattle/Tacoma is an important industrial real estate market with a need for efficient, well-located distribution centers.
First Industrial opened our office in Seattle in 2007, providing strong market expertise to the marketplace. First Industrial's team has been one of the most active developers in the region. As an owner, lessor and developer of industrial real estate, we have a vested interest in—and take an active role in-helping to create a cleaner, more energy efficient supply chain.
One example is First Industrial's First Park Meridian Campus, a six building, 780,350 square-foot business park in the Seattle/Tacoma market. Incorporating energy efficient design measures, First Park Meridian Campus is one of the first large speculative distribution facilities in the state of Washington built to LEED standards.
