Bio for Richard Vanderbeck
Regional Manager
A 20-year veteran of the New Jersey commercial real estate market, Rick Vanderbeck leads the marketing of First Industrial's New Jersey portfolio and the growth of the company's regional platform in his role as Regional Manager.
As Regional Manager of First Industrial's New Jersey region, Mr. Vanderbeck is responsible for the portfolio leasing activities, as well as for promoting acquisition, development, redevelopment, and disposition activity throughout New Jersey.
Previously, Mr. Vanderbeck served as First Industrial's Marketing/Leasing Director for the New Jersey region. Prior to joining First Industrial, Mr. Vanderbeck served as Director of Acquisitions and Development for Federal Business Centers, an office and industrial developer based in Edison, N.J., where he was involved in acquisitions, leasing and development.
An adjunct assistant professor of real estate at New York University, Mr. Vanderbeck is an active member of the National Association of Industrial Properties (NAIOP). He currently serves on the NAIOP Board of Trustees and has received NAIOP's President's Award. He is a member of the New Jersey chapter's education committee, having previously served as its co-chair.
He is also a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), and serves as Educational Chairman for SIOR's New Jersey Chapter.
Mr. Vanderbeck earned a master's degree in real estate development and finance from New York University and his undergraduate degree from William Paterson University.
